The Girls Aloud beauty, 28, has largely been single since splitting from her footballer husband Ashley Cole last year.
And now reports have suggested that she is head over heels for 21-year-old Patrizio Pigliapoco, who has been helping her mastermind her career in America.
According to the Daily Star, the singer and former X Factor judge has been spending a lot of time in the States as she works on her next solo project.
And after spending many late night sessions recording with Patrizio in Los Angeles the pair are said to have grown close.
A source told the paper: 'Cheryl and Patrizio have been together 24/7. They have really become inseparable.
'After a lot of near-misses when it comes to blokes, Cheryl hopes this one could be the real thing.
'They have loved their late night sessions in the studio, just the two of them.
'They’ve rarely been apart and have genuinely fallen for each other. Cheryl really adores Patrizio – she loves his carefree attitude to working and to life, and can’t wait to see him again.'
And it appears the feeling is mutual as the producer, who is seven years younger than the beauty, freely admits he finds the singer 'gorgeous'.
He reveals to The Sun that they bonded over her teaching him and his American pals English swear words: 'She's really funny. She was talking about w*****s and we didn't know what it meant.
'She was laughing. The funniest thing was trying to get her to go into detail, because she was trying to be ladylike. Then we got it!'
He gushes further: 'When I met her I thought, 'Oh my God, she's gorgeous!' I think she's great. She's got swag, that's the word here.'
Since splitting from football star Ashley, Cheryl has been linked to 25-year-old American dancer Derek Hough.
The Dancing With the Stars professional helped Cheryl get through her divorce following infidelity claims surrounding Ashley.
And although they never confirmed their romance, neither of them denied it either.
Cheryl was also vaguely linked to Black Eyed Peas pal will.i.am, singer Taio Cruz and her X Factor co-judge Simon Cowell.
But the Newcastle girl has since remained tight-lipped about her love life, deciding instead to concentrate on her music.
After she was fired from the judging panel of America's X Factor earlier this year, she started working on her third album.
And Patrizio is ecstatic he's had the opportunity to meet the stunner.
He adds to the Daily Star: 'Everything happened so fast. Four months ago I was on tour with a group as an engineer and now I am spending nights with Cheryl Cole.
'I thought her ex-husband was crazy to cheat on a beautiful woman like her.'
