X Factor champions Little Mix are set for Christmas No.1 with their winner's single Cannonball as bookmakers tip blonde Perrie Edwards to go solo first.
Tulisa Contostavlos' girls Little Mix are the 9/4 second favourites to take the prestigious Christmas Number One.
Perrie
and her band mates Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall
are just behind favourites Military Wives, who are at 1/2.
Little Mix overtook
Marcus Collins as favourites in November much to the disdain of bookmakers Ladbrokes who estimate that punters collected over £200,000 in winning bets.
David
Williams of Ladbrokes said: 'Little Mix fans kept the faith and
favourite backers have stuffed their pockets with some Christmas cash.
'Little
Mix will serve it up to the Military Wives in the battle for the
Christmas Number One race. We still reckon Gareth and the Wives are in
pole position for now, however.'
And the judges' golden girl
Perrie is already tipped to be the first member of the X Factor formed
band to go solo with a UK top 40 album at odds of 5/6.
'Perrie is the brightest star in the group and we're convinced she's got a massive future,' added Williams.
Meanwhile, Kelly Rowland stunned audiences last night with her sometimes bizarre comments and Father Christmas impressions.
'Kelly didn't leave a good impression and we doubt we'll see her again next year,' he added.
