A lonely Katie Price looks sad as she has manicure in LA.

She has left the cold and grey skies behind to enjoy some time out on the other side of the world in sunny Los Angeles.

But even as she was being pampered at a salon in the city, Katie Price cut a downcast figure and looked like she had the weight of the world on her shoulders.

That might have something to do with her ex-husband Peter Andre, who she admitted this week will never be replaced in her heart.

Katie, 33, looked very lonely and miserable as she had a manicure at a salon in the city and kept her eyes down throughout her appointment and hidden behind huge dark sunglasses.

The glamour model fled to Los Angeles yesterday possibly for a vanity visit as she makes a quarterly visit to the city for her hair extensions.

Her trips also comes just days after her ex-husband, with whom she has two children, arrived in the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here camp.

He spoke to Mark Wright about her and said he loved her more than anyone else in his life - a sentiment that Katie seems to share about him.

Speaking to heat magazine this week, Katie opened up about her ex, who she met when they both appeared on the reality TV show in 2004, and said no one would ever take Peter's place in her life.

She admitted that she regretted splitting from him and said: 'Pete still makes my heart jump when I see him.'

She also revealed that during their four-year union, they never had time to enjoy being together.

She said: 'Our marriage was all about the cameras and the deals and the jazz hands. It would have lasted for years if we were given time to put the cameras down and actually enjoy being married.'

After she and Pete went their separate ways, Katie married cagefighter Alex Reid, but that only lasted a year and she said she is in no rush to walk down the aisle again.

She said: 'I always thought my married to Peter was the one that would last, I really did.'

Even her friends revealed that she is missing her ex more than ever, with best friend and close confidante Michelle Heaton admitting that she thinks Katie and Pete may have a second chance.

Speaking to heat, she said: 'I just think it's so amazing that Peter and Katie are so nice about each other now. It was such a special romance.

'I'm not saying they're getting back together but what they had was so special and Pete being in the jungle is just reminding them of it - it's bringing all the memories back.

'I know Katie really well, so I'm not ruling anything out.'
