Robbie Savage is eyeing the jungle after his Strictly Come Dancing exit.

The former Premier League bad boy, who lost out to Jason Donovan in
the final two last night, said: "I always thought I'd never do another
reality show but I've realised  I'm someone who needs a challenge.

"If I'm A Celebrity... came up next year I would consider it because
I'm mates with Ant and Dec but I'm also a big fan of 71 Degrees North.

"I was adamant Strictly would be the only reality show I'd ever do
but I have been very down since I was voted off. I feel like I could
burst out crying.

"It's not because I got booted off the show, but weirdly because it's brought it home to me that I'm not a footballer any more.

"When I was about to retire as a player in May I could put a lot of
the sadness to the back of my mind because I knew I had Strictly coming
up.

"Now I don't have a challenge any more and even though I've got the
best job in the world, talking about football for the BBC and ESPN and
writing about it in the Mirror, I'll be looking for the next challenge."

Robbie bowed out after his Reservoir Dogs-inspired quickstep,
dedicated to tragic Gary Speed, left him bottom of the leaderboard and
the public vote could not save him.

He said: “The judges didn’t love it but Gary’s dad Roger phoned me
on Saturday night to say I’d done him proud and that is good enough for
me.

“I don’t have any complaints about going. It was the right time. I
hope I entertained the public but technically I couldn’t dance!

“I hope I’ve given people a few things to remember me by. I’ve had
my shirt off, my trousers off, I’ve done my crotch-thrust into Craig
Revell-Horwood’s face and I’ve bust my nose sliding into the camera!

“But thing I will always remember, obviously, is seeing Gary for the
last time at the show a few weeks ago and high-fiving him at the end of
 my routine.

“Next week it would have been two dances - the Charleston and the
Waltz -and I know I would have really struggled even with Ola helping me
 out.”

Robbie also played down talk of a rift with catty judge
Revell-Horwood, who consistently gave him low marks throughout the
series.

He said: “I have come to realise that Strictly is like a pantomime
and we all play our characters. Craig has battered me on screen but off
it he’s been great.

“They all have really. This is not going to be one of those
interviews where they lag off the other contestants, because I’ve liked
everyone I’ve met and a few of them will be friends for life.

“Harry Judd is one of them and I think it will be either him or
Chelsee Healey to win. I don’t think they realise how good they are.”

And despite pondering another reality show, Robbie said his first
priority would be a family Christmas with wife Sarah and kids Charlie
and Freddie.

He admitted: "I’ve loved most of Strictly but there a few things I won’t miss and the celebrity lifestyle is one of them.

“I’m looking forward to being at home, not training eight hours a
day and not watching what I eat because I’ve lost so much weight I’m
wasting away.”
