Katie Price makes public court apology to Peter Andre over cheating claims

Peter Andre accepted an apology from his ex wife Katie Price, or Jordan as she is sometimes known, over claims he cheated on her during their marriage and that his feelings for her first son Harvey were not genuine.
Katie has also agreed to pay an undisclosed sum to Andre, which as well as contributing to his legal costs, he will put into a trust fund for Harvey – the son of footballer Dwight York – his solicitor Mike Brookes told the court.

Andre brought defamation proceedings against his ex after she gave interviews in October 2009 discussing their relationship.

"Mr Andre brought these proceedings because his relationship with his children and his reputation are important to him, which Ms Price understands," Brookes said.
"Mr Andre and Ms Price are pleased that they have reached a compromise to the proceedings and they now wish to put this matter behind them in the interests of their children."





Price's solicitor, Keith Ashby said: "I confirm what has been said by Mr Brookes, that Ms Price regrets making the comments she made and she is very happy to confirm - as she has said publicly before - that Mr Andre has been a good father to Harvey and has demonstrated his love for him on many occasions.

"Ms Price is pleased that she and Mr Andre have been able to put this litigation behind them in the interests of their children."

Neither party was in court for the hearing today.

The news comes after tensions between the pair appeared to have eased, with Katie tweeting a message to Peter before he went back to Australia to film ITV reality show I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here.

@mrpeterandre good luck in Oz and remember what I said," she tweeted, much to the shock of both sets of their fans. She didn't elaborate on what she said to him.

During his time in the jungle, which is where romance between he and Katie first blossomed, Peter has been reminiscing. "I loved Katie more than I loved anyone in my life," he told TOWIE hunk Mark Wright. "We had kids, a marriage. You never lose that. Yeah, being here is spooking me out."

He has also advised Mark to follow up on his flirtations with fellow campmate Emily Scott saying: "If you have any feelings for Emily, don't hide them because I have the best children in the world."

Katie and Peter married in 2005 and had two children, Junior and Princess Tiaamii. They divorced in 2009 - a year before she married Alex Reid.
